OSHA updates Hazard Communication to GHS Revision 7
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration updated its Hazard Communication Standard effective July 19, 2024, principally aligning it with GHS Revision 7. Changes cover classification, labels and safety data sheets; a separate 2026 amendment extended the phased compliance dates.
Use the amended 2026 compliance schedule. State-plan adoption and state-specific dates require separate checks.
