Engineered stone import prohibition
Australia's federal import prohibition for engineered-stone benchtops, panels and slabs began January 1, 2025. It complements the domestic workplace prohibition and permits imports only where a specified written permission, confirmation or exemption applies.
Import exceptions and the separate workplace rules must both be assessed for the activity concerned.
